Position Summary:
The Lead Sr. Staff Accountant is responsible for managing daily AP tasks.
Job Duties:
Lead and motivate outsource service providers
Identify and communicate team day-to-day priorities
Monitor A/P Inbox and backlog of exceptions for assigned staff to ensure timely resolution of issues and processing of invoices
Understand end-to-end processes of all AP related tasks and serve as an SME for internal and external customers
Address internal and external inquiries and facilitate the resolution of questions and issues. Provide superior customer service by following through on commitments and displaying a willingness to help.
Identify issues and develop, implement and communicate process improvements for all department procedures
Prepare detailed AP weekly/monthly metrics reports
Collaborate with Energy Management team and Conservice teams to manage utility invoice payments
Preparation of Upload files for processing complex and recurring billing
Provide AP training to new and existing employees across the Company, including cross training and development.
Provide superior customer service to our suppliers including onboarding and invoicing and other supplier support items
Review invoices for accuracy, legibility, completeness, and conformance to policies and procedures prior to routing and/or processing in the accounts payable system
Timely and accurate routing/processing of invoices and ensure that controls are maintained to prevent duplicate payments
Collaborate with AP Management and other Leads to research, test, plan, design, and enhance workflow systems and processes and assist with testing/executing
Participate annually in updating policies and procedures
Participate in special projects and system upgrades/enhancements, as requested
Promote a team-based environment that focuses on supporting other employees to ensure departmental success.
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
Education & Experience:
BA or BS degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related area, preferred
Five to seven years of relevant AP experience with highly automated ERP systems.
Familiarity with and adherence to standard accounting practices.
Other:

Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $68,900.00 - $84,900.00
Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
