Laboratory Team Leader - Night

The Laboratory, Team Lead shall provide technical expertise, decision making, and problem solving based on knowledge of Laboratory techniques, principles, instruments, and their relationships. This individual shall supervise Lab employees, assigning tasks, and performing procedures accurately and efficiently to provide timely and courteous service to patients, physicians, and staff. The Team Lead shall communicate effectively with lab staff, nurses, and physicians. This position may have additional duties assigned as needed.

Clinical laboratory training culminating in national certification as defined by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Board of Registry.

4 years experience in a clinical laboratory.

ASCP Medical Technologist (MT) or equivalent certification required.

Ability to work from broad directions and be self motivated.

Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.

Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.

Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients.

Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills.

The ability to communicate effectively with patients, guest, and hospital personnel.

The ability to show compassion and sensitivity for patient comfort.
