Full Stack Software Engineer (Java & React - W2 only)

Codeworks is an IT Services firm, known for our strong commitment to quality and for our direct client relationships.

Our client is looking to bring aboard two Software Engineers to join their team on a long-term contract basis, with the potential for this role to become a permanent position in the future. These individuals will become an integral member of the team responsible for technical mentoring, collaboration and building proof of concepts. In addition, they will design and architect complex systems and solutions to support the organization's mission and goals. and develop software applications.

Other responsibilities include:

Participate in software delivery as a hands-on engineer by designing, building testing and maintaining technical solutions for the company.

Collaborate on innovative solutions to challenging technical problems by optimizing code, improving performance, or resolving critical technical issues.

Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and stakeholders, to ensure that technical solutions align with the overall product and business goals.

Contribute technical documentation to ensure that the codebase and architecture are well-documented for current and future team members.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a closely-related field is preferred

Multiple years of professional experience in software engineering is preferred

Strong React Experience (including client-side rendering and server-side rendering)

Strong CSS and UI component library experience

Experience with front end unit and end-to-end testing (Vitest and Playwright a plus)

Experience implementing UIs from wireframes and visual designs

Willingness to build expertise in NextJS (previous experience a plus)

Willingness to contribute to Java & Spring Boot backend

Experience in healthcare or digital health is a plus

Codeworks, LLC discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $60/hr and $85/hr. This range is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
