Job Description

The Systems Administrator reports to the IT Manager and is responsible for all functions related to day-to-day systems management, applications support, and IT projects. This position assists the IT Department as a whole and the Senior Systems Engineer and IT Manager in particular with implementing various facets of many IT projects. This position is responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance for all Firm systems and software. Analyzes and resolves problems associated with applications and ensures scalability and appropriate integration with other systems. Troubleshoots network access problems. Responsible for daily tasks associated with site disaster recovery (disk and tape backups, data retention, etc.). Ensures software is updated to meet organizational needs.

Working in and maintaining systems in virtual environments

Documenting various aspects of systems administration

Maintaining hardware and software database information

Evaluating new software

Automating tasks

Monitoring systems

Troubleshooting problems

Maintaining system backups

Maintaining security systems

Enforcing firm polices

Providing advanced support to the Helpdesk and Business Systems Analyst roles as needed

Manage MS365 Tenant including Licenses

Manage AD/User Accounts

Exchange Administration

MS Teams Administration

Security Administration: Wincast, Zscaler, CrowdStrike

Microsoft Azure

Microsoft O365

Cisco IOS

Cyber Security Concepts

Windows Server Services (File, Print, DHCP, RDS, WSUS, SQUL)

Windows 365 services (Exchange Online, inTune, AAD)

Skilled in:

Software systems administration

Learning New Technology

Troubleshooting Complex Problems

Communicating clear, documented resolutions for applications and systems issues

Monitoring and managing applications of all types including productivity and security solutions

Managing multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to:

Work beyond normal business hours as required, particularly during Busy Season
