Position Overview
As a Behavior Technician, you will deliver one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism and developmental differences. Your support will empower children to gain independence, master key life skills, and adopt positive behaviors through consistent, structured intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on support during daily routines, playtime, and community outings
Encourage independence and promote skill acquisition during therapy sessions
Follow and offer input on treatment plans created by a BCBA
Record accurate behavior data, session notes, and updates on client progress
Stay in regular communication with your supervising BCBA and engage in training and supervision
Maintain client safety and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Assist with light household tasks or transportation when required
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (required)
Proficiency in both English and Spanish (required)
Background in working with children or individuals with disabilities (preferred)
Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and dependable vehicle
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stay physically active (standing, kneeling, sitting on the floor), and respond swiftly to client movement
Open to traveling within a 30-minute radius to client homes
Willingness to obtain RBT certification within 90 days (training provided)
Ability to pass a background check
