Client is a well-established Management Services Organization (MSO), supporting one of the most respected and expansive multi-state independent physician practices in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Responsibilities:
Establish and manage the organization’s financial strategy, aligning fiscal planning with the organization’s healthcare objectives and growth goals.
Oversee financial operations for decentralized business units, ensuring alignment with organizational financial policies and compliance with healthcare regulatory standards.
Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing insights to executive leadership for strategic decision-making.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, consolidating financial data from multiple locations for comprehensive organizational financial statements.
Establish and enforce internal financial controls to safeguard assets, mitigate financial risk, and ensure accuracy in all accounting operations.
Oversee revenue cycle management (RCM), including billing, collections, and payer contracting, to maximize revenue streams across all healthcare sites.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and debt to support operational requirements and organizational growth in a decentralized model.
Lead and develop the finance and accounting teams, providing mentorship and building capabilities for financial leadership at both central and regional levels.
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities, drive process improvements, and support financial sustainability initiatives.
Develop, refine, and implement accounting policies, standardizing practices across business units while allowing flexibility for local regulations and market conditions.
Ensure compliance with healthcare finance regulations, GAAP, and other applicable standards, staying current with legislative changes affecting the healthcare sector
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and compliant audits and filings.
Provide financial insights and analytics to support investment strategies, capital projects, and resource allocation decisions.

Required Education, Experience and Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or a relevant field is preferred.
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is highly desirable.
· 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting and leadership.
· Extensive experience within the healthcare industry, particularly within a decentralized or multi-site organization, is essential.
· Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in complex, multi-entity environments.
· Proven success in managing revenue cycle functions, financial controls, and compliance within a regulated healthcare environment.
· Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing financial operations across decentralized locations.
· Strong interpersonal skills - ability to develop relationships and collaborate and influence in a centralized organization.
· Proven ability to lead financial strategies and operations within a complex healthcare environment.
· High proficiency in financial analysis, with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions to drive organizational success.
· In-depth knowledge of financial software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and familiarity with healthcare-specific financial management tools.
· Strong understanding of healthcare finance regulations, GAAP, and compliance requirements, with the ability to apply these effectively across locations.
· Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with a proven track record of results.
