The Investment Services Senior Financial Analyst (“SFA”) is responsible for moderately to highly complex accounting activities related to the management of Fixed Assets, CIP, and Project Accounting. The SFA provides support for project related financial statement analysis and the blackbook process. The role requires interactions with Project Managers, Tax Analysts, Brand Financial Reporting teams, Internal and Extern Audit as well as other accounting resources. Position Reports to Manager, Investment Services.
Responsibilities
All Project Accounting functions assigned for BBW business units, including recording of appropriate project accruals.
Performed detailed analysis of Open POs to determine accruals at end of month.
Perform CIP analysis and ensure accurate transfer of CIP project costs to fixed assets is performed monthly for assigned business units.
All accounting functions including acquisitions, dispositions, transfers, projections, and the monthly close for business units fixed assets.
Ability to execute, review, and present quarter-end and year-end reporting from the SAP system, as well as support other ad hoc requests including those related to ESG initiatives.
Ability to review, report, and track capital spending, provide financial projections, and advise on budget related issues.
Ability to act as key contact for internal and external audit engagements, including statutory audits.
Review and analyze current finance processes, making appropriate recommendations for improvements and efficiencies in these business areas.
Interact with the corporate tax department to ensure compliance with tax laws.
Resolution of SAP Fixed Asset software issues from a user perspective including support for technology enhancements, break/fix issues, and any necessary ad hoc testing
Become familiar with current BBW Capital Policy and act as a resource for team on all capitalization/expense issues.
4-6 years of work experience in Accounting and/or Finance
SAP-enabled process experience/skills
PC skill proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge of GAAP
Strong attention to detail coupled with analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance relevant field required.
