Assistant Graduate Coordinator SUMMARY The Graduate School currently has approximately 2,500 students and rapidly growing.

The primary function of the Assistant Graduate Coordinator (AGC) is to assist the Dean of Graduate Studies to provide student-centered graduate admissions and support.

The AGC will support the Dean of the Graduate School and the Office of the Registrar by maintaining the admission records of graduate students enrolled in the masters' programs.

The AGC will also ensure graduate students have met all requirements for graduation prior to conferral of degrees.

The AGC also is charged with assisting the Office of Graduate Studies with all facets of online program management and graduate support.

The AGC serves as the primary graduate admissions point of contact for International students and focuses on degree programs within the John Massey School of Business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Assistant Graduate Coordinator will: * Serve in their assigned capacity upholding standards and processes set forth by the Office of Graduate Studies.

The AGC will ensure an efficient and effective working environment demonstrating excellent customer service skills to create a professional and confidential, but friendly, atmosphere for students, staff, faculty, and administration.

* Serve as the primary graduate admission contact for the Master of Business Administration and Organizational Management & Leadership degree programs; assist with other graduate programs, as needed.

* Serve as the primary graduate admissions point of contact for International students.

* Advise students, faculty, and staff about general requirements for admission to the graduate school as well as specific requirements for admission to the Master of Business Administration and Organizational Management and Leadership degree program; assist with student advisement for other programs as needed.

* Independently evaluate college transcripts to determine eligibility for graduate admission and either: o admit student the University, or o clearly communicates to the prospective student why admission was not granted.

* Use discretion and judgement during the admission, advisement, and graduation clearance processes of graduate students.

* Admit students to the graduate school.

* Serve as the primary point of contact for Graduate Assistantship related recruitment and tuition assistance processes.

* Advise and assist students in the completion of graduate enrollment processes (both online and face-to-face) and ensure all admission requirements are met.

* Independently identify and correct problems with admission, enrollment, and graduation clearance encountered by prospective and current graduate students as well graduate coordinators.

* Work with the graduate coordinators to admit students into specific graduate programs and keep accurate student records, correspond with graduate students, monitor progress of graduate students, and complete graduation clearance for students.

* Maintain accurate academic files for all graduate students including inactive and conferred files.

* Monitors Graduate Studies application software (Recruit) landing pages to ensure accuracy and that updates/edits are reported to the appropriate entities.

* Work collaboratively with Risepoint * to promote master's level programs.

* Works with the Production Document Coordinator to help and assist in the revision, updating and layout of the graduate section of the catalog.

* Provides administrative support to graduate council and is directly involves in tracking and coordinating graduate faculty status.

* Researches, collects, and analyzes data or information and prepares reports or responses to inquiries.

* Oversees record maintenance (inventory and office files). * Conduct purchasing activities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE Required: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.

* One year of work experience in higher education related to admission, advisement, enrollment, retention, and/or the graduation of collegiate students.

* Must learn the FERPA regulations and be able to apply the precepts to all areas.

* Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

* Self-starter with the ability to think and work independently and creatively.

* Ability to establish priorities and manage deadlines.

* Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite.

* Knowledge of general office procedures with the ability to operate standard office equipment efficiently and accurately.

* Ability to autonomously identify, organize, process, and evaluate data/information to aid in development of strategies to address challenges.

* Experience with and demonstrate ability to work with people in group settings.

* Strong Computer Skills.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

PREFERRED * Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.

* Experience in higher education specifically with admissions, financial aid, and/or enrollment management.
