Janitorial Maintenance

Responsibilities: * Performs all general required tasks as directed by the Foreman and Leads * Performs all tasks within proper safety guidelines, company guidelines, and as directed by management * Performs assignments according to company schedule and as expected by the customer * Performs janitorial tasks based on defined scope of work and customer requests.

These are performed to published schedules and within explained guidelines.

These tasks often include the following: * Loading and unloading into buses and company vans.

* Uneven walking surfaces (i.e.

gravel parking lots) * Climbing/Sweeping/ Mopping of stairs * Working with industrial-strength chemicals * Bending to empty and re-line trash receptacles * Lifting and carrying multiple large bags of trash to the dumpster * Lifting boxes of supplies (i.e.

toilet paper, paper towels) * Sweeping and mopping large areas * Sweeping with dust mops * Vacuuming large, carpeted areas * Lifting mop bucket with water and cleaner inside * Dusting areas as needed * Bending to clean toilets * Bending to get supplies from cabinet under sinks * Cleaning countertops and tables * Clean microwaves and coffee bars * Dusting and cleaning water coolers * Cleaning windows and glass surfaces * Cleaning walls and doors.

* Cleaning smoking areas as requested by block managers * Lifting items 50 lbs and under * Moving of chairs and tables * Pushing/Pulling Janitorial cart * Exposure to high temperatures and weather * Cleaning of Laboratory areas (potential exposure to other chemicals) List of chemicals used: * Pretty Potty Acidic Bowl Cleaner * Clorox Clean-up with Bleach * Bleach * Lysol Disinfectant Spray * Pledge Furniture Polish * Mr.
