Highland Hospital is seeking an Assistant Manager of Social Work focusing on the Emergency Department.
The Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring the delivery as well as supervision of quality social work services primarily within the Emergency Department and may be called upon to assist on the Adult Medical, Family Maternity Center and Surgical Units. The primary foci will be on Clinical Care and Administrative Functions such as Patient Flow (efficient discharge following assessment of patient needs and care planning), Supervision, and Staffing the overnight and weekend schedules.
Salary Range:
$70,710.15- $86,521.81 annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements
Education: Must meet the educational requirements to be a NYS licensed MSW from an accredited Social Work graduate program.
Experience: Prefer 4+ years of clinical experience in a health care setting and 3+ years of supervisory experience.
License/Certification Required: New York State Licensed Social Worker (LMSW).
Skills: Leadership skills along with excellent oral and written ability to communicate, dependable, flexible team player who is also a self-starter with strong collaborative skills and has demonstrated ability to engage team members. Knowledge and practice of risk screening, psychosocial assessment, social work interventional skills, care planning, analytical and critical thinking, supervision, and strong interpersonal skills.
Skills – Proficiency in eRecord, Microsoft Office, spreadsheet creation and management, data entry and report writing.
