Construction Federal Sr. Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Estimator with extensive experience in federal and government construction projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing plans and specifications, and coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams to develop competitive bids. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of federal procurement processes, including FAR and DFARS regulations, and experience with a variety of contract types such as design-build and hard bid.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed estimates for federal/government construction projects

Review bid documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and compliance

Solicit and analyze subcontractor/vendor pricing

Support proposal development and cost strategy

Qualifications:

7+ years of estimating experience in federal construction

Familiarity with USACE, NAVFAC, or VA project requirements

Proficient in estimating software (e.g., RSMeans, Sage, or similar)

Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations
