Job Summary:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with an opto-mechanical focus to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for precision optical assemblies. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between design engineering and production with a hands on approach, ensuring that projects are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet stringent optical and mechanical performance requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for opto-mechanical components and assemblies.

Collaborate with design engineers to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) are embedded early in the design process.

Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to optical alignment, mechanical tolerances, materials, and bonding techniques.

Define and document assembly processes, work instructions, and inspection criteria.

Support prototyping, pilot runs, and transition to full-scale production.

Specify tools, fixtures, and test equipment required for assembly and alignment.

Drive process improvements for yield, throughput, cost, and quality.

Collaborate with QA to ensure products meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
