Location: Paincourtville, LA

Hours: Mon - Thurs 6am to 4:30pm

Pay Rate: $25 to $30

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Welder to join our team. This role involves welding components, maintaining equipment, and assisting with the construction and modification of industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will be a safety-conscious, proactive individual with excellent welding expertise and the ability to lead and train others.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and company policies.

Use and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Observe and instruct others on proper equipment use and safety protocols.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Welding and Equipment Maintenance:

Weld components using flux core, stick welding, and pipe welding techniques in various positions.

Follow welding procedures, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions to ensure quality results.

Perform setup, layout, and fabrication tasks, utilizing fixtures and guides.

Maintain welding equipment and perform preventive maintenance to keep tools operational.

Remove rough spots from workpieces using grinders, hand files, or scrapers.

Pipeline Welding & Structural Steel Work:

Perform pipeline welding tasks, ensuring strong, leak-free welds that meet industry codes and standards.

Execute structural steel welding, including fabrication and assembly of steel frameworks, beams, and supports.

Weld various steel components according to blueprints, structural drawings, and project specifications.

Ensure all structural welds are completed with precision to maintain strength and integrity.

Confined Space and Vessel Welding:

Occasionally perform welding tasks inside confined spaces and vessels at the plant, ensuring all safety protocols are strictly followed.

Work in challenging environments where confined space entry and specialized PPE may be required.

Collaboration and Construction Support:

Collaborate with fitters to construct various components, ensuring high-quality, first-class welds.

Assist in all aspects of the construction process to meet project specifications and deadlines.

Requisition materials needed to complete projects according to company procedures.

Project Management and Deadlines:

Meet all project deadlines, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.

Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as required to meet production needs.

Professionalism:

Demonstrate professionalism and represent the company positively at all times.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a welder in an industrial, pipeline, or structural steel setting.

Ability to perform welding tasks in various positions using flux core, stick, and pipeline welding techniques.

Strong understanding of welding safety standards and procedures.

Experience with welding equipment setup, maintenance, and operation.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work orders.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Willingness to work overtime as required.

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (AWS, NCCER) are a plus.

Working Conditions:

Industrial work environment, with exposure to noise, heat, and heavy machinery.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Physical demands may include lifting heavy materials (e.g., 50+ lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods.
