Material Handler - Instruments Manufacturing

Job Description

Nova Biomedical is hiring a Material Handler on our Instrument Manufacturing team in our Enterprise Road, Billerica, MA facility (Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM). This position is responsible for the movement of all material, both raw and finished product, associated with the operation of the Instrument Manufacturing. The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that all materials delivered to the area are stocked in the correct location and for retrieving material from the warehouse. They will ensure that all Instruments are packaged following operational guidelines. The Material Handler will also transport completed product to the Finish Goods Warehouse. The position may also package replacement product, perform cycle counts and investigate inventory issues. Other responsibilities include:

Receiving parts into the locations

Cycle Count material/transact into ERP system

Moving product to finished goods

Packaging of product (Spares/Instruments/OEM Spares)

Confirm transfer orders, Confirm production orders in ERP system

Key inventory transactions in ERP system

Attend weekly meetings and actively participate

Continue to acquire the job and organizational knowledge necessary to perform the duties essential to the present job as it evolves

Skills and Competencies:

Self-motivated

Strong verbal communication skills

Some computer skills

Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other

Good organizational skills

Qualifications:

Ability to 50 lbs minimum

Ability to operate pallet jacks or other related warehouse equipment

Ability to read and understand OPs, OIs, or other supporting procedural documentation

Flexible in taking on different job responsibilities

Ability to read and speak English

Education/Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent.
