Senior Development Officer – Major Gifts

To be successful in this role, you will:

Manage a personal portfolio of at least 100 donors, focusing on securing gifts of $5,000+.

Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to systematically identify, solicit, and steward high-value donors.

Work with the CEO and Development team to align philanthropic initiatives with the organization’s mission and priorities.

Coach and mentor board members, staff, and ambassadors in fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

Required

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; related experience in philanthropy, sales, marketing, communications, fundraising.

At least five years of progressive experience in community relations, philanthropy or planned giving work, with demonstrated ability to build successful relationships

Proven track record of using donor fundraising strategies to guide successful acquisition, growth, retention, and reactivation

Requires a valid Montana Driver’s License.(or obtain within 60 days of employment)

Must pass a Background check prior to start date

Preferred

Certified Fund-Raising Executive certification.
