Barton Associates is seeking a Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens position in a Pennsylvania correctional facility. This 60-day assignment begins on 06/02/2025, with potential for extension. The provider will work full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. As the Acting Medical Director, the physician will oversee 3-5 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and provide comprehensive care in the facility's infirmary. Responsibilities include managing general medical cases, performing IV treatments, sutures, and splints, treating common illnesses, overseeing the MAT program, conducting daily infirmary rounds, and providing care in restricted housing units.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Act as Medical Director, overseeing 3-5 APPs
Provide infirmary care

Perform sutures and splints
Treat common illnesses (cold, cough, flu, bronchitis, pain)
Conduct MAT Program follow-ups every 3 months
Perform daily infirmary rounds in the morning
Round in restricted housing units once per week
Handle physical, emergency, and admission consults
Complete thorough charting and documentation
Review EMR queue, lab results, and x-rays
Manage general medical cases and provide emergency care as needed
Additional Information:
Pennsylvania state medical license required
Familiarity with Sapphire EMR system preferred
