Maintain grounds, water system, and all equipment used
by Oxbow Academy
Part time $18/hour 2 days a week $200 signing bonus
Requirements
Essential functions —
● Properly maintain grounds
● Maintain water system (sprinklers) throughout Oxbow’s property
Competency —Have the knowledge, skills and abilities to maintain all grounds and
facilities.
Supervisory responsibilities —Assistant maintenance worker
Work environment —Working outside at different locations, experiencing
varied weather conditions at times such as wind, rain, snow, ice, extreme heat or cold.
Grounds consist of rocks, uneven grounds, cement, grass, dirt, and mud. Extremely noisy at
times outside of buildings.
Physical demands —This position is very active and requires walking, standing, stooping,
kneeling, bending, running, sitting, lifting, reaching over your head, driving, physical and
manual labor. Employee will need to be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
Be able to use tools or equipment requiring a moderate degree of dexterity, ascends and
descends a step stool or ladder, use garden tools as well as recreation equipment. The
employee must drive various motor vehicles. Specific vision abilities required by this job
include close vision, distance vision clarity (100 yards), color vision, peripheral vision,
depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Travel —You will travel between our Mt. Pleasant and Wales campuses.
