Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
The incumbent in this position is responsible for overseeing all operations for Internal Audit department; directs and coordinates audit operating activities to achieve optimum operating efficiencies and economies and maximize company revenues and profits. Auditing financial operations and gaming operations in accordance with Federal and State regulations. This individual regularly interacts with mid-level management to discuss potentially contentious issues and recommend improved business practices.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities include setting policies and standards for auditing financial operations and gaming operations in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
Responsible for planning and the development of Internal Audit procedures.
Monitors compliance with the systems of internal controls established by the Company.
Manages the independent audits within the Company for review of accounting, financial and operational functions to determine accuracy and effectiveness of the internal controls systems.
Manages and directs the special review of operations to detect or confirm internal fraud as well as develops and updates audit programs.
Manages and reviews the operations and programs to ascertain whether results are consistent with established objectives, plans and goals.
Develops written reports and presents the audit results to management and the Audit Committee.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
BS or BA in accounting, finance, business management or other related field. MBA a plus. Three years if audit/and or accounting experience required; three years casino experience strongly preferred. Must have solid interpersonal/ communication, judgment, strategic planning, and development skills. Must be proficient in Word and excel.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):
Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission.
Must successfully pass background check.
Must maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and casino policies.
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
Prior experience opening new properties/outlets strongly preferred.
