Pathologists' Assistant ~ Discipline: Allied Health Professional ~ Shift: 8 hours, days ~ Employment Type: Travel Travel Pathologist Assistant Fusion Medical Staffing Facility in San Francisco, California Job Details Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Pathologist Assistant for a 13 week travel assignment in San Francisco, California.

One year of recent experience as a Pathology Assistant A Pathology Assistant supports pathologists in the preparation, examination, and dissection of tissue specimens for diagnosis.

They assist in autopsies, surgical pathology procedures, and laboratory operations, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of specimens.

Photograph and documents specimens, lesions, and tissue abnormalities for clinical and educational purposes Operates and maintains laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure accuracy in specimen handling and documentation Assist with proper maintenance of equipment, provision of adequate supplies, and cleanliness of the surgical pathology suite Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.

Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel.

Sensory - Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate.
