Overview

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a full-time CT Technologist for its Emergency Department located in a U.S. state. The position is for 0.9 FTE, with a day shift. This role focuses on providing high-quality computed tomography imaging services and contributing to a multidisciplinary team environment.1 The organization emphasizes a commitment to patient care, continuous learning, and fostering a safe and innovative clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Provide top-of-scope practice in direct patient care to perform various imaging and radiologic procedures.5

Review patient history, initiate Computed Tomography images based on physician orders, and prioritize procedural patient education to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation.6

Safely administer contrast media or associated imaging medications while monitoring patient condition.7

Respond to and report changes in patient condition as appropriate.

Implement techniques to yield clarity in image, quality control, and equipment functionality based on established best practices in Radiology (ARRT).

May perform 3-D post-processing while entering, transmitting, and reporting scan results.8

Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Model proficiency through precepting those new to imaging and/or the organization.

Contribute to securing safety and quality at the point of care.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.

Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and registered, and/or registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

State licensure if required by law.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.

BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.9

Compensation

The hourly pay for this position ranges from $36.19 to $54.28, dependent on the applicant's relevant experience.
