Job Title: Waste Management Technician at Trihydro Corporation
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Job Summary:
Based in the Salt Lake City area, you will join our Petroleum and Petrochemical Team and will assist with on-site waste management support, conducting weekly waste inspections for satellite and central accumulation areas.
This full-time position averaging approximately 40 hours per week requires a blend of strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities, and due to the outdoor nature of the role, work occurs in all weather conditions. Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling waste shipments for hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Daily walks throughout the refinery to identify waste storage areas.
Maintaining a container management program.
Coordinating wash pad operations and track usage sampling drums and waste containers when filled.
Submitting exception reports as needed and generating waste shipment profiles.
Tracking lab data and preparing waste determinations based on results.
Tracking waste generation dates and shipment timelines.
Verifying manifests are signed and returned within regulatory guidelines.
Management of the satellite accumulation areas and work with labs for analysis.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a clean driving record and current driver’s license.
Must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug test, and random drug tests.
Acceptable employment history with a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
Acceptable written and oral communication skills with a strong desire to build successful relationships with clients and project team members.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency with word and excel.
Field-based work that requires walking and standing for extended periods, as well as an ability to work comfortably at heights.
Technical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail and accuracy.
A basic mechanical aptitude and an independent work ethic.
