General Description

This position provides journeyman-level support to the Air Force Research Lab’s Aerospace Systems Directorate (RQ). Specific duties include developing solutions that integrate existing and evolving governance, EA tools, frameworks, methodologies, models, and artifacts with the goal of using EA to eliminate redundancy, build efficiency, reengineer business processes, and optimize utilization of resources.

Duties and responsibilities

The successful candidate will support EA strategic, operational, and solution-level goals and efforts under AFRL guidance. The successful candidate will focus on the development of architecture artifacts to support various system and organizational governance processes and will create EA-based documentation in support of the EA artifacts developed. Examples of efforts include the following:

Perform Business Modeling to document “as-is” and “to-be” business processes to determine the impacts of various process changes.

Perform EA planning and EA design, and development using DoDAF 2.0 or greater.

Develop architecture artifacts based on DoDAF using architecture tools like ARIS.

Perform value stream mapping of existing processes.

Specialized Knowledge

The successful candidate will have knowledge and expertise in the following areas:

Direct experience with the creation of artifacts using DoDAF 2.0 or higher.

Experience with requirements gathering and analyses by engaging stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business and technical requirements by using interviews, workshops, surveys, and observation to understand business needs and translate high-level needs into detailed and functional, and non-functional requirements

Knowledge and experience with performing process mapping and improvement by analyzing the current business processes and identifying inefficiencies or gaps.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business or related fields of study.

Professional Certifications

None.

Clearance

The ability to obtain and maintain the necessary clearances (specifically, a background investigation at the Tier 1 low risk level (formerly NACI) with a favorable adjudication).

Experience

5+ years’ experience working in enterprise architecture, business analysis, and process modeling.

U.S. Citizen or Similar

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Other Characteristics (e.g., Personal or Language)

Excellent oral, written, and communication skills in English. Must work in a team environment with personnel from other companies, government program management, administrative personnel, and technical staff members. Must perform with minimal management oversight and have strong time management skills.

Working conditions, including location

On-site at WPAFB, OH.

Client duty hours are Monday through Friday.

Salary

125k - 134k Annually
