Our team is excited to meet you! Job Overview & Responsibilities

As a member of the Launch Operations Engineering and Infrastructure Operational Facility Systems team, Communications, Video, and Data Networks group, responsibilities include:

Operation, maintenance, security, and architecture evolution of launch site data and communication systems networks, including all supporting computer embedded processor systems

Design, operate and maintain communication systems, subsystems for communication networks, data links, multiplexing and de-multiplexing solutions, digital Operational Voice Systems, signal coding and modulation schema, digital radio/communications technology, and network architecture design & system security (including wide and local area networks)

Required Education

Bachelor

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 2 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, or relevant technical field from an accredited college or university

Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience

Experience with communications and data network management software and Linux or Unix operating systems

Previous experience with system administration of Operational Voice Systems (Quintron DICES)

Experience with Telemetry Transport

Experience with Video (Cameras including Thermal, Transport & Distribution, Display including Video Walls)

Copper and Fiber Optics experience (Design, Deployment, Maintenance, Documentation)

Network and voice maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Windows PowerShell, BASH UnixShell for Linux, and Ansible Shell

Radiofrequency skills including experience with Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) Transport systems and calculation of RF power levels

IT Automation - Knowledge/experience of using Ansible Playbooks to execute SQL (Structured Query Language) functions on relational databases.

Cisco Switch - Programming, Maintenance

AutoCAD / Revit / Visio

Network Security, Monitoring (SolarWinds)

Timing experience (Countdown distribution & displays, GPS Receivers)

Public Address / Aural Warning [Processing, Distribution, Broadcast (speakers)]

Land Mobile Radio (End Item Programming & Maintenance, Base station interfaces)
