Position Summary:
The College Recruiter will be a member of the Heartland Business Systems’ (HBS) Talent Acquisition Team. They will be key in helping source, attract and recruit top talent to effectively meet the business needs for HBS from a recent grad and internship/youth apprentice aspect. We are looking for an experienced recruiter with strong sourcing, communication and organizational skills to support our college recruiting and internship program strategies. Our College Recruiter II position will connect, engage and develop relationships with students in order to build a strong and diverse pipeline of talent, as well as, manage internship and apprentice programs.
Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:
Be a contributing member of the HBS HR Team.
Develop and execute strategy to recruit interns and full time team members from colleges and universities.
Work with key leadership to identify the universities that HBS will develop relationships with.
Build relationships with targeted universities and their career services offices by developing partnership programs, promoting HBS brand and culture, offering information sessions and by maintaining contact throughout the year.
Determine and implement innovative candidate sourcing techniques including the use of social media.
Participate in Social Media Recruiting to create, design and implement weekly social media posts.
Attend career fairs, information sessions, resume reviews and other campus activities.
Promote HBS attendance at recruiting events and engage students before, during and after the event. Connect, engage and build relationships with students in order to build a strong and diverse pipeline of talent.
Post job opportunities and source potential candidates on social media groups. Proactively contact top candidates to promote HBS opportunities.
Conduct candidate screening interviews and select top candidates to interview with hiring manager.
Consult with hiring manager regarding candidate selection and recommend offer for the selected candidate.
Educate college students about the HBS employment brand and culture.
Manage internship program, including on-boarding, networking events, evaluation and on-going communication activities.
Monitoring Intern Profitability during Summer Intern Program.
Partner with high schools to promote careers in the IT field and future employment with HBS. May include arranging speakers from HBS, apprentice programs, job shadowing, technical assistance and mentoring opportunities.
Reach out to candidates via phone and email, scheduling them for phone interviews.
Correspond with candidates at various stages of our process.
Maintain accuracy and concise hiring and candidate data and reports for each step of the recruitment process through the ATS.
Develop and track metrics on a weekly and monthly basis, providing analytical and well documented result reports to the team.
Create ad hoc reports and queries, as needed.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies.

Required Experience:
At least 2 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience
At least 2 years of Sourcing experience
Preferred Experience:
3-5 years of university recruiting experience
Experience planning and executing corporate recruiting events
3-5 years of Sourcing experience
At least one year of social media recruitment experience
Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
At least one year of experience working in an ATS or CRM System
Willing and able to travel on a regular basis
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Preferred Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:
Recruiter Certification (LinkedIn, SourceCon Academy, AIRS Professional Recruiter Certification (PRC), etc)
Diversity Recruiter Certification
PHR or SHRM Certification
Understanding of social media marketing
Strong relationship management skills
