1st Class Structural Fitter or 1st Class Mechanical Fitter

Hours of Work:
1st shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
Pay: $29 hourly
Locations: West Jacksonville (Cecil)
Job Summary: Seeking experienced professionals with strong knowledge in the following:
Mechanical Fitter: Experience with mechanical equipment, piping building and installation and blueprint reading.
Structural Fitter: Experience in industrial structural fitting, blueprint reading and welding.
Essential Functions:
Understand job specifications, blueprint reading, measurements, and torque requirements.
Proficient in datum lining, equipment/piping center lines, and installation of various valves and piping system components.
Skilled in cutting, prepping, fitting, and tacking structural steel.
Knowledge of piping and structural system hangers, supports, braces, and hydro processes for 150psi testing.
Strong mechanical/structural aptitude, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow instructions.
Complete daily work assignments while monitoring quality, safety, and health regulations.
Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely.
Document quality reporting methods per SEA Quality Standards.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.
Education and Experience:
Knowledge of threading, grinding, welding, brazing, rigging, plasma cutting, gas arc cutting.
Mechanical Fitter: 2-5 years related experience or training.
Structural Fitter: 5+ years related experience, 6+ years in industrial structural fitting preferred. Tack Welding Ability
Some vocational technical training desired.
Work Environment:
Fabrication and manufacturing facility with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, loud noises and vibration.
