General Manager – Cannabis Retail

About the Opportunity

The General Manager will play a central role in ensuring the success and integrity of their day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team
Recruit, train, and inspire staff to create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and top-tier
customer service.
Drive Daily Operations
Oversee all aspects of store operations including opening/closing, delegation of tasks,
cleanliness, and the in-store experience.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance
Stay current with NJ-CRC regulations and ensure strict compliance with all SOPs and reporting
standards. Responsible for audits, documentation, and compliance oversight.
Maximize Sales & Service Standards
Monitor KPIs, coach team members on product knowledge and upselling, and ensure each
customer interaction aligns with their brand values.
Inventory Oversight & Reporting
Partner with inventory leads to manage stock levels, reduce shrinkage, and ensure accurate
sales and forecasting reports.
Act as a Brand Ambassador
Represent the store in the community and uphold the company’s values with professionalism
and integrity.
Qualifications
3+ years of retail management experience (cannabis industry experience strongly preferred)
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage, motivate, and mentor a team
Knowledge of New Jersey cannabis laws or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn regulatory requirements
Experience with cannabis POS systems such as Treez, Flowhub, or Dutchie (Treez preferred)
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Must be 21+ and able to pass all state-mandated background checks
