Engineering Technician

An Insight Global client is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team onsite in Topeka, KS. Below is the day to day and requirements for this role.

Day to Day:

• Provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement of technical products, programs, and systems

• Provide expertise for resolving technical problems, troubleshoot product and modify product to customer requirements

• Analyze engineering specifications and drawings, consult with quality and manufacturing to provide and obtain technical information

• Investigate reports of defective, damaged, or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment, or systems

• Evaluate findings to formulate corrective actions

• Independently plan and accomplish complete projects or serve as an expert in a narrow aspect of a particular field of engineering

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years related experience, Master’s degree with 3 years related experience, or High School Diploma with 9+ years related experience

• Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance

• Background in basic and advanced electronics, mechanical drawing, engineering fundamentals, with a comprehensive knowledge of technical terminology

• Systems understanding and interoperation

• Ability to troubleshoot systems and fixtures
