Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and driven Construction Project Manager to lead and manage government-funded multi-family and affordable housing construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and compliance with all agency and municipal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage construction projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget goals are met.
Coordinate with public agencies (e.g., HPD, HDC, NYCHA, DASNY), design teams, subcontractors, and internal staff.
Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and payment applications.
Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and contract requirements, including prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon Act, Section 3, and MWBE participation.
Lead jobsite visits, safety inspections, and project meetings.
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, with specific experience in affordable housing and public agency-funded projects in New York.
Demonstrated experience working with NYC/State housing agencies.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, project controls, public bidding procedures, and compliance standards.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
