Senior Embedded Electrical Engineer

ECE, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, energetic, and experienced Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineer to provide concept definition, analysis, and integration of electrical systems for rugged mission and safety critical systems for Military, Aerospace and Vehicular environments. Through listening to customer challenges, and building on your previous experiences, you will find creative approaches that will solve the most challenging embedded electronics problems.

Responsibilities

· Electronics design of aerospace embedded products including microcontrollers, FPGAs, power supplies, protection, output drivers, and sensor signals circuitry

· Control subsystems such as BLDC motors and actuators

· Work from customer requirements to determine systems and hardware requirements and design

· Prepare design documentation, project schedules, or test reports to track progress and performance

· Design for rugged environments, including extended temperatures, EMC, ESD, and vibration

· Component selection, derating and detailed design for high reliability, severe environments

· Generate test software used to validate hardware design and for custom test equipment required for design verification, qualification and manufacturing of custom products

· Create detailed bills of materials and help source electronic components

· Troubleshoot electrical device problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently

Qualifications

· BS or an advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or a related field

· 15+ years of circuit design experience for embedded aerospace or vehicular systems

· Excellent problem-solving skills

· Demonstrated project management and communications skills

· Proven ability to provide independent evaluations and application of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgement in making adaptations and modifications

· Ability to work on a team and with other departments to meet the organizations and customers’ needs

· Excellent attention to detail

· Ability to create technical proposals and presentations

· Highly motivated with the ability to work autonomously

· Having BLDC motor or FADEC design experience is a plus

· Due to U.S. State Department restrictions on access to technology, candidates must be “U.S. Persons” as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) 22 CFR 120-130
