About the Role:

Job Title: Senior Java Consultant

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead with deep expertise in Full Stack development (Java + Node.js), AWS cloud architecture, and large-scale data ingestion & migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong DevOps awareness, CI/CD experience, and familiarity with SRE practices.

Responsibilities:

Lead and drive end-to-end technical solutions involving AWS, Java, Node.js, and large-scale data migrations.

Design and implement cloud-native architectures using AWS best practices (Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, etc.).

Guide the team in full-stack application development and ensure clean, scalable, and maintainable code.

Oversee and optimize data ingestion pipelines, ensuring smooth migration and transformation processes.

Support SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles and practices to ensure application stability and scalability.

Serve as a mentor and technical leader for engineers across the team.

Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Security, and Infrastructure teams.

Drive sprint planning, code reviews, and architectural discussions.

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including deployment, networking, and cloud architecture.

Proficiency in Java and Node.js for backend development.

Proven experience leading data ingestion and migration projects involving structured and unstructured data.

Working knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).

Understanding of SRE principles (monitoring, incident response, SLAs, etc.).

Experience with Agile methodologies and leading engineering teams in an Agile environment.

Location: Hybrid in Richmond, VA/Mclean, VA/ Wilmington, DE

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $155,000 – $160,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
