One of our Engineering clients is seeking a motivated Engineer-In-Training (EIT) to join their civil engineering team in Jacksonville, Florida. This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist project managers in the planning, permitting, and design of civil engineering projects, including site development, infrastructure, and utilities.
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to modify construction plans, pull quantities, and create designs for water, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer systems.
Provide technical guidance and support to industry personnel regarding design, construction, and program modifications.
Coordinate schedules with contractors, construction managers, and survey departments to address and resolve issues during construction.
Prepare and present due diligence/feasibility reports, bid documents, contract documents, cost estimates, and project proposals to city engineers and clients.
Attend meetings with city staff, clients, architects, and contractors to discuss project progress and requirements.
Manage multiple project assignments with various deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge of AutoCAD.
1-3 years of experience.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
