Asset Management Associate

North River Partners is seeking an Asset Management Associate to join its team in New York. The individual will work closely with the Managing Partners to assist in the asset management and servicing of loans across the firm’s lending platform. The candidate will be exposed to all facets of North River’s business with an opportunity for substantial involvement and growth.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Review and facilitate draw requests associated with live construction loans, working with third party consultants, borrowers, and capital partners accordingly.

Engage and assist with third party reports, including appraisals, construction monitoring reports, environmental assessments, insurance, etc.

Actively monitor the loan portfolio to ensure compliance against covenants under the loan documents, warehouse facility agreements, etc.

Lead loan level and portfolio level reporting for investors, capital partners, and lenders.

Serve as the primary point of contact for borrower’s inquiries, working closely with the Managing Partners to process material loan events as needed.

Work closely with the originations team to assist with onboarding new loans.

Conduct site visits as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

1-5+ years’ experience working in real estate development, construction, loan servicing, and/or asset management positions

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing deadlines appropriately

Strong attention to detail is required
