Backend Engineer - Cloud Services (Mid Level)

The Indoor Lab is at the forefront of spatial intelligence and advanced mapping technologies. We develop cutting-edge solutions that leverage LiDAR data to power real-time decision-making in industries like autonomous navigation, smart infrastructure, geospatial analytics, and environmental monitoring. The Backend Engineer position is responsible for designing and implementing cloud services to evaluate, store, and distribute live analytic data. This includes developing and testing micro-services and making improvements to existing ones. The cloud specialized Backend Engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, develop customized solutions, and implement innovative enhancements.

Location

Remote. Ideally prepared to move to Tampa, Florida.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and deploy APIs and micro-services in a .NET environment

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate containerized applications

Write reusable, modular code that adhere to SOLID principles

Manage cloud infrastructure and build pipelines

Optimize database queries for scalable deployments

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline

3+ years of professional backend development experience

Strong programming skills in C#, .NET framework, and SQL

Experience with Kafka and Kubernetes in distributed cloud infrastructure

Deep understanding of Object Oriented Design principles

Production experience with real time compliant systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
