The Master of Social Work (MSW) is responsible for providing social work services to clients The MSW may work with individuals, families, or groups, to improve their social and emotional well-being.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients with a variety of needs, such as mental health, substance abuse, family problems,
Conduct assessments of client needs and develop treatment plans
Coordinate care with other providers, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurses
Advocate for clients and their families
Provide education and support to clients and their families
Research and develop new social work interventions
Write reports
Participate in professional development activities
Qualifications:
Master's degree in social work from an accredited program
2+ years of experience providing social work services
Strong clinical skills and judgment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to social justice and equity
