Retail Leasing Associate

The Leasing Associate is an integral part of the Retail Leasing team for a premier mixed-use property that will office on-site. This position requires someone with an avid interest in retail who is polished, outgoing and has a strong attention to detail. This is a customer-facing position that requires developing relationships with retailers and the broker community and being able to efficiently in canvass for new tenants.

Prerequisites

· 2+ years of leasing experience or 3+ years of related sales or retail experience.

· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, preferred.

· Self-starter, entrepreneurial, strong sense of urgency, disciplined and results oriented.

· Demonstrate strong negotiating skills.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and other Microsoft products.

Duties

· Participate in property marketing events, outreach programs and promotional activities.

· Canvass the DMV market through visits to local retailers, festivals, local markets to identify new and unique prospects for specialty, pop-up and short term leasing.

· Maintain communication with other departments to ascertain space availability and merchandise mix goals.

· Work closely with the marketing department to ensure ongoing exposure of the specialty leasing program in the properties marketing efforts.

· Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including leasing spaces to tenants that will enhance the mix of tenants, preparing lease paperwork, and assisting new tenants to ‘move in’.

· Respond to in-person, phone and email inquiries to provide leasing information and schedule appointments.

· Collect Monthly sales figures and generate sales reports.

· Other duties as assigned.
