Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you passionate about designing cutting-edge digital hardware solutions? As a Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in creating and troubleshooting peripheral circuitry and digital interfaces for FPGA and microcontroller systems. This position offers a dynamic environment where innovation meets practicality, giving you the opportunity to influence product development from concept to production

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate on system architecture and create detailed design specifications for digital interfaces

Develop proof-of-concept models through simulations, breadboards, or evaluation boards

Support schematic capture and board layout for FPGA, microprocessors, and their peripherals

Conduct post-layout signal integrity simulations for high-speed digital interfaces

Integrate systems and ensure functionality through acceptance tests, troubleshooting, and analysis

Develop and optimize test and repair procedures for production environments

Ensure designs meet cost targets and schedules, and are optimized for high-volume manufacturing

Support qualification and reliability testing to ensure system performance and longevity

REQUIRED EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE:

Strong background in system design for FPGA, Microprocessors, and CPLD

Expertise with digital interfaces such as EMMC, DDR4, SPI, I2C, JTAG, and CAN bus

In-depth knowledge of digital signaling standards, including TTL, LVTTL, CMOS, LVCMOS, PECL, LVPECL, and LVDS

Proficiency in programming and scripting with Serial Port Scripts, C/C++, and Python

Hands-on experience with digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies

Familiarity with tools like Matlab, Mentor Graphics Xpedition, and Hyperlynx

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)

Knowledge of DSP and wireless communication theory is a plus
