CNC Milling Machinist

Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a 2nd or 3rd shift CNC Milling Machinist out of their Charlotte NC production facility. REQUIRED: Experience with / understanding of G- and M-codes for CNC and Manual Machining.

Compensation: $34.42/hr (+ $1.00 shift differential + relo assistance)

Shift:

2nd Shift: Mon-Fri, 4:00pm-12:00am

3rd Shift: Mon-Fri, 12:00am-8:00am

What You Will Do:

Set up and operate the CNC (Complex Numeric Control) horizontal boring and slotter machines in order to perform various operations on a variety of parts and components.

Will engage in continuous improvement by applying 5S methodology as a component of a Lean production system.

Position will be responsible for mentoring employees in the company apprentice program.

Education and Work Experience

At least 4 years US Military experience required.

Understanding G&M Codes for CNC and Manual Machining

Experience w/manual machining, CNC setup and operation, 5S/Lean manufacturing, mentoring, and experience with large travel (19.5m, 4m, 14m) boring mills.
