About TriprGenie.ai

TriprGenie.ai is an AI-as-a-service startup building vertical agents for the travel industry. Our first product is a post-sales and in-trip AI assistant that helps travel operators deliver seamless customer support at scale, freeing up operations teams and delighting travelers.

We’re leveraging the power of LLMs, structured supplier data, and context-grounded workflows to build intelligent, agentic systems. TriprGenie is being spun out by the founder of AdventureTripr (100+ global suppliers across 45+ countries, with a multi million GMV and growing organically).

About the Role

This is a hands-on, 0-to-1 role for a technical founder-type who wants to build meaningful AI products to solve real industry problems. You’ll work directly with the CEO to whiteboard, prototype, and ship. You’ll own the agentic tech stack and collaborate with 1-2 other scrappy builders in the early team.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly from idea to working demo, and is passionate about crafting useful AI systems, not just playing with models, but turning them into functional tools that create value.

What You’ll Do

As our Founding Engineer, you’ll be the technical brain and builder behind our agent stack. You’ll:

Build and ship V0 V1 of our vertical AI agent

Fine-tune or orchestrate LLMs for travel-specific workflows

Integrate vendor and itinerary data into conversational agents

Own architecture, tooling, and early product infrastructure

Collaborate directly with the founder on product vision and roadmap

Help shape company culture, product philosophy, and technical standards

Who You Are

Full-stack builder with experience in shipping fast and iterating faster

Deeply curious about GenAI, LLM orchestration, and agentic design

Comfortable working in ambiguity and navigating evolving user needs

Experienced enough to work independently and guide 1-2 junior developers as needed

Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or OpenAI APIs is a big plus

Bonus: Experience in marketplaces, travel tech, or ops automation

You’re excited about co-creating something new and own meaningful equity

Must be authorized to work in the U.S., as we’re currently unable to sponsor visas

Compensation

As an early team member, you'll receive a competitive early stage startup salary (up to $100K) along with a meaningful equity stake in the company. Given our stage, we expect compensation to be equity-heavy until we close our first round of funding. This is a high-ownership role for someone excited to help shape both the product and the company from the ground up.
