Title: Senior CNC Machinist/Programmer

Avenue of hire: Direct placement/permanent placement, full-time
Pay: $30-38/hour
Required:
Minimum 6+ years’ hands-on experience in CNC machining
High School Diploma or GED
Advanced proficiency in G & M code
Strong mechanical aptitude with in-depth knowledge of machinery operation and maintenance
Strong understanding of shop trigonometry and its applications
Ability to read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Familiarity with complex engineering drawings
Experience working across multiple machine types
Ability to work independently, effectively manage departmental workload, and meet customer demands
Comfortable acting as a mentor to junior technicians
Ability to learn quickly and apply new technical concepts to machining
Preferred/Plusses:
Associate’s degree
Additional technical certs (related to CNC machining or mechanical systems)
Prior work with related industries, equipment, and machinery, including centrifugal pumps and compressors, rotating equipment, oil/gas sector, etc.
Position Overview:
A client in North Denver is seeking an experienced Senior CNC Machinist/Programmer/Operator to join their team immediately. The ideal candidate will have at least 6-7+ years of hands-on experience in CNC machining, advanced expertise in G & M code, and a strong mechanical aptitude.
This role involves utilizing design sketches and blueprints to ensure products meet precise dimensional and tolerance requirements, adhering to company policies, procedures, and manufacturing quality standards.
Day-to-day:
Working on CNC lathes and CNC mills; setting up and operating multiple machine tools to precision tolerances from both blueprints and sketches
Maintain accurate process documentation
Design, modify, and/or improvise tooling and gauging as needed
Repair machine components and/or hardware per instruction
Perform precision machining tasks to the highest quality standards
Work with diverse materials, including stainless hardened steel and exotic metals
Conduct inspections using equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, surface plate and associated accessories, bench comparators, profilometers, optical comparators, etc.
Execute complex technical assignments, analyzing multiple variables to ensure optimal machining performance
Provide training and mentorship to lower-level technicians, guiding them in skill development, completing tasks, and advanced technical training
Apply problem-solving skills, proactively identifying challenges and recommending solutions
