We are seeking a seasoned Payment Network Risk Technology Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions across our global payment infrastructure. This role will focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating technology and operational risks associated with payment networks, including real-time payments, card schemes, ACH, and cross-border systems. The architect will collaborate with cybersecurity, risk management, and engineering teams to embed robust controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high availability and integrity of critical payment services. The ideal candidate has deep experience in payment systems architecture, risk modeling, and security frameworks, and can translate complex risk requirements into actionable technology strategies.

Core Payment Systems Knowledge:

Payment network protocols: SWIFT, ISO 20022, SEPA, ACH, Fedwire, RTP, CHIPS

Card network integration: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UnionPay

Real-time and cross-border payment systems

Settlement and clearing systems architecture

Technology Architecture & Design:

Enterprise and solution architecture frameworks: TOGAF, Zachman

Designing high-availability, fault-tolerant systems

Microservices architecture and API-based integration

Event-driven and message-based architectures (e.g., Kafka, MQ)

Risk & Security:

Payment system risk modeling and threat analysis

Security frameworks: NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS

Identity and access management (IAM), tokenization, encryption

Fraud detection systems integration

Resilience and failover design for payment networks
