Please find a sampling of the type of work we do below:

INTERIM CONTROLLER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead day-to-day accounting operations in a technology or SaaS environment, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.

Oversee and execute financial close processes (monthly, quarterly, and annual), including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC 606, ASC 340, and SEC reporting requirements, particularly for revenue recognition, software capitalization, deferred revenue, and stock-based compensation.

Establish and maintain strong internal controls over financial transactions, including SOX compliance and documentation of accounting policies.

Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and business leaders to drive financial insights, process improvements, and system automation.

Support audit readiness and external audits, ensuring adherence to tech industry regulations and best practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on financial close and technology/SaaS industry experience.

CPA required (Big 4 or public accounting experience preferred).

Expertise in tech industry accounting areas, including software capitalization, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and stock-based compensation.

Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606 (revenue recognition), ASC 340 (software costs), and SOX compliance.

Ability to effectively communicate financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership.

Advanced proficiency in Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to work in a high-growth, fast-paced tech environment, balancing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

This is a remote position, ideally suited for candidates in the Bay Area.
