Title: MEP Superintendent

Location: New York/Long Island

Compensation: $130k - $190K bonuses, benefits, and a great 401k.

Our client was founded in 1918, this New York-based company operates as a full-service, vertically integrated organization specializing in construction, real estate development, and property management. Its construction arm has completed over $10 billion in public and private sector projects, including correctional facilities, healthcare centers, and large-scale residential developments. The firm manages its own portfolio of over 2 million square feet of commercial and residential property and is currently led by third- and fourth-generation family members.

The Assistant Superintendent will:

Oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) field operations on assigned construction projects, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design, schedule, and budget.

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel for all MEP scopes, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.

Manage and review installation schedules, sequencing, and work activities to avoid conflicts and delays in the overall project timeline.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other superintendents to identify and resolve field issues, RFIs, and change orders in a timely manner.

Conduct regular site inspections and quality control audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols, code compliance, and workmanship standards.

Participate in preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, and MEP system design reviews.

Track and manage MEP material deliveries, equipment installations, and testing & commissioning activities.

Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation for project progress and safety compliance.

Lead MEP coordination meetings and interface with the BIM team to ensure proper clash detection and resolution.

Serve as the on-site point of contact for MEP-related communication with owners, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

The ideal MEP Superintendent will have:

Minimum of 4 years of Construction experience in SCA or Healthcare projects.

Knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, scheduling, and safety practices.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to commute to job sites in NYC & Long Island

The MEP Superintendent will receive:
