Trades Holding Company is seeking a high-impact Director of Corporate Development & FP&A to lead financial strategy and business expansion efforts at our fast-growing plumbing, electrical, restoration and HVAC services company. This strategic role will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and acquisition opportunities—helping shape our company’s growth and performance in a competitive, operations-driven industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in field service businesses, home services, or related industries, with the financial and operational acumen to support data-driven decisions and scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Development
Identify, evaluate, and execute acquisitions of regional service businesses to expand geographic footprint and service capabilities.
Conduct in-depth financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence for potential M&A targets.
Build market analyses to assess regional expansion opportunities, customer demographics, and competitive positioning.
Partner with legal, operations, HR, and integration teams to ensure seamless acquisition integration.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Own the company-wide budget, forecast, and long-range planning processes, with an emphasis on revenue forecasting, technician productivity, and service margins.
Deliver monthly and quarterly financial dashboards to executive leadership, including key field operations KPIs (e.g., revenue per truck, first-time fix rate, call conversion rates, technician utilization).
Partner closely with operations and dispatch teams to align financial goals with service performance metrics.
Enhance financial systems, tools, and reporting processes to support better visibility and planning across departments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred.
8+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, including FP&A, corporate development, private equity, or investment banking.
Experience in a service-based, field-operations, or trades-related business (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.) is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated track record leading M&A efforts and strategic planning in a multi-location service environment.
Expertise in financial modeling, data visualization, and ERP/reporting tools (e.g., ServiceTitan, QuickBooks Enterprise, NetSuite).
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
