Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Administrator to support their expanding payroll operations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with high-volume, multi-state payroll and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities
Administer full-cycle, in-house payroll for 1,000+ employees
Handle multi-state payroll processing, including compliance with CA, AZ, and CO regulations
Process garnishments, manage time and attendance systems, and resolve payroll discrepancies
Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries
Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
Leverage timekeeping systems such as Kronos or eTime for accurate payroll tracking
Support payroll reporting and analytics using Advanced Excel tools (e.g., Pivot Tables)
Partner with internal departments on payroll-related matters and support year-end reporting
Utilize systems such as JD Edwards (JDE) Oracle or similar ERP platforms
Qualifications
5+ years of payroll experience, including high-volume and multi-state environments
Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and best practices
Experience with garnishment processing and journal entries
Proficiency in Excel and payroll/timekeeping systems (Kronos, JD Edwards, etc.)
Exposure to union or construction payroll a plus (not required)
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
