Full Stack Developer

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with a primary focus on backend development to join our hybrid San Francisco team full-time. Jet.AI is an aviation technology company working on problems around aviation optimization, natural language booking, and carbon crediting and tracking. We have offices in Las Vegas, Nevada, and San Francisco, California. This position is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco office.

A competitive candidate should have a solid grasp of the current full stack landscape, with a particular emphasis on backend technologies. Proficiency in backend frameworks and a good understanding of front-end development are expected. Experience in a fast-paced or startup environment is a plus.

You will be joining a small team at our San Francisco office. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining robust backend services, integrating these services with our React-based front end, and contributing to front-end development as needed. Projects will include developing back-end solutions for aviation carbon emissions management, natural language (AI) booking flows, aviation route optimization algorithms, and general backend development tasks to support existing and new systems.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in backend development, particularly with Next.js, Typescript, and TRPC (Or a similar protocol emphasizing type safety like GraphQL).

Knowledge of current front-end trends and experience with at least one modern front-end framework such as React.

High level of proficiency working with Typescript and TailwindCSS.

Experience with GraphQL or TRPC (preferred) and/or RESTful APIs.

Experience working in a fast-paced/startup environment is preferred.
