Job Opportunity: Physician in Thoracic Surgery - Cardio Thoracic Surgery

The position is for an experienced physician specializing in thoracic surgery, offering a unique opportunity to provide care in an inpatient setting during a crucial coverage period. The schedule includes call coverage from June 27th, 2025, 8 AM through July 7th, 2025, 8 AM, coinciding with the primary CT surgeon's vacation. Job Responsibilities:

Provide call coverage for Cardiothoracic Surgery

Respond to patient inquiries and manage consults via beeper

Conduct patient rounds, with an average of 2 patients seen per shift

Ensure a quick response time of 30 minutes for call duties

Perform admissions related to thoracic surgery cases

Utilize the MediTech EMR system for patient documentation

Maintain a high standard of patient care throughout the call period Qualifications:

M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school

Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Active medical license (or eligibility for temporary privileges)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment License and Certification Requirements:

Board Certification required

Medical license in the state of Kentucky (temporary privileges available)
