Ideal Candidate ProfileThe ideal Conveyor Belt Service Technician candidate has hands-on mechanical experience with conveyor belts or similar systems, preferably in industrial maintenance, material handling, or a related field. They are comfortable with frequent travel (50-75%), working in warehouse and field environments, and can handle physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, crouching, and climbing. The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a commitment to safety. A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings are also essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain conveyor systems, including splicing, belt cleaning, and pulley lagging.
• Perform mechanical and step splicing using hot and cold repair methods.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper equipment handling.
• Provide professional customer service and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and a clean work environment.
• Train and mentor apprentices.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on mechanical experience in a related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol screening.
• Comfortable working in industrial settings and various weather conditions.
