About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced Engineering Services Senior Technician to join our Interiors Engineering Development Lab (EDL). This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the aerospace seating and furniture industry, supporting the development, testing, and validation of high-performance components. You'll take a hands-on role in the planning and execution of technical tasks, collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with engineers to build, test, and refine commercial aircraft seating and furniture components.
Provide technical support during structural and performance testing across various engineering projects.
Participate in discussions to review test article builds, procedures, and outcomes, offering feedback and technical insight.
Perform hands-on assembly work using a wide range of hand tools to support prototyping and testing efforts.
Apply basic mechanical and manufacturing principles to troubleshoot issues and support design iterations.
Document test results and maintain accurate records using basic computer tools.
Prepare technical reports and assist in project documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Read and interpret engineering drawings to guide assembly and test processes with precision.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year technical training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in aerospace, automotive, or other regulated industries with strong compliance knowledge.
Hands-on experience in testing environments focused on quality assurance and safety standards.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Experience with 2D and 3D modeling/design software.
Familiarity with machining and fabrication tools, techniques, and safety practices.
