We are looking for driven and passionate engineers for our Business Applications team. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and architecture of financial systems and business processes. You will be a results-driven candidate who can help coach team members and deliver at the highest levels of quality and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will be excited for the challenge to transform and think critically on many computer science disciplines including product design, usability, building APIs, scaling performance, and 24x7 reliability.
Responsibilities:
• Drive innovation by designing, architecting, building and shipping software at scale.
• Improve craftsmanship at LinkedIn by developing best practices and defining best strategies.
• Develop software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integrations.
• Supply technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to start, plan, and execute large-scale, cross functional, and company-wide critical programs.
• Implement system interoperability, data exchange, process integration and business process automation tools primarily focused on financial modules.
• Responsible for delivering enhancements & supporting Projects in E-Business Suite R12 in a custom application module and standard Oracle modules including Receivables, Revenue Recognition, Credit Management and Advanced Collections.
• Develop APIs to support integrations between Oracle EBS and other application platforms (Engineering Systems, Service provisioning tools, CRM systems etc.)
• Support integrations between Oracle EBS and other application platforms (Engineering Systems, Service provisioning tools, Salesforce)
• Develop new strategies for improving internal processes and implementing optimal solutions through technology and tool sets.
• Identify, use, and evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity.
• Conduct in code and design reviews to maintain development standards.
• Collaborate with cross-domain partner teams (product, commerce eng, finance transformation) to build financial systems platform.
Basic Qualifications:
• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience
• 5+ years experience with software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
• 5+ years experience with Enterprise Software Implementation and Integration experience (including Architecture, Analysis, Design and Development Oracle Applications).
Preferred Qualifications:
• BS and 8+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 7+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• 4+ years of experience implementing and supporting business systems for order capture/booking, fulfillment, billing, and revenue recognition in a social media or similar "soft" product that be sold self-service (online), or through a sales representative
• Experience in understanding the different Payment Gateways, their reporting structure and reconciling the settlement reports against bank statements.
• Experience with month end & quarter end close process, including reconciling deferred, revenue and cash-in-transit accounts against order and settlement data.
• Experience designing and building integrated business applications and web services at large scale.
• Knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures and algorithms. And software design.
• Experience in SQL Plus, PL/SQL, and LINUX scripting.
• Experience working with cloud technology such as Azure.
• Experience with financial systems like Oracle, SAP, SFDC, D365 etc.
• Understanding of WebServices (SOAP, REST).
• Understanding of Devops concepts (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Experience with taking up initiatives and execute tasks with full ownership and deliver agreed upon deliverables in a timely manner.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $127,000 to $207,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
