Transport Network Engineer CRAN

Title: Transport Network Engineer- Annapolis Junction, MD (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

Engineer CIQs (IP/Port assignments), switch growth, circuit builds, and trunk planning.

Place and manage circuit orders (TLS, EOS, EBH, Dark Fiber) with LECs.

Design transport paths and update in XNG, Granite,.

Collaborate across teams to execute 5G, CRAN, MEC, ODAS, and SNAP build targets.

Track orders and escalate delays to meet delivery timelines.

Manage vendor deliverables and project milestones.

Build and maintain project trackers and dashboards in FUZE.

Regularly participate in status meetings and provide project updates.

Must-Have Skills:

Strong transport engineering foundation.

Excellent problem-solving and project management ability.

Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets & Docs.

Telecom background with understanding of Native Ethernet, TLS, VZON, and Dark Fiber.

Experience with CIQs, IP addressing, and transport circuit design.

Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.

Ability to work independently and show initiative.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Prior Verizon experience.

Knowledge of XNG/Granite, ASR systems, and circuit types (EMUX, EOS, TLS).

Experience with 4G/5G wireless architecture, including 3GPP Option 3X.

Knowledge of CRAN, VRAN, WDM, IPv4/IPv6, and microwave backhaul.

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
